A 7 day goal plan you can start today
A week is long enough to build momentum and short enough to finish. This plan takes one goal and gives it one daily action for seven days, with a review at the end. It takes about ten minutes to set up.
- Pick one goal that matters, not five.
- Choose one daily action that takes 10 to 30 minutes.
- Write the plan down and tick each day.
- On day 7, review it and choose what to do next.

Before you start: pick one goal
Choose something you can make visible progress on in a week. If your real goal is big, pick its first small piece. "Write a book" becomes "Write 2,000 words." "Get fit" becomes "Exercise 4 times." If your goal is large, see how to break a big goal into small steps.

The 7 day plan
| Day | What to do |
|---|---|
| 1 | Write the goal and the finish line. Choose your daily action and a time for it. Do it once. |
| 2 | Do the daily action. Remove one thing that gets in the way, such as your phone in the room. |
| 3 | Do the daily action. Tell one person what you are doing. |
| 4 | Do the daily action. Check you are still on track for the weekly target. |
| 5 | Do the daily action. If a day was missed, do the minimum version. |
| 6 | Do the daily action. Prepare the next week's first step. |
| 7 | Review: what worked, what did not, what is next. Pick the goal for the next 7 days. |
How to choose the daily action
- Small enough to do on a bad day. Ten minutes is better than an hour you skip.
- Clear enough to tick. "Write 200 words" beats "work on the book".
- At the same time every day. Attach it to something you already do, like after breakfast.

Do it in an app
You can run this on paper. If you would like reminders, a streak and the plan on your phone, tell ORBIT your goal in Orbiont. It builds the steps and puts today's step on your list, and you can track the daily action as a habit. See the AI goal planner guide.

What to do on day 8
Keep what worked and change what did not. Then either repeat the plan with the same goal, make the daily action a little harder, or move to the next piece of your goal. See how to stay consistent with your goals.
Questions people ask
Is 7 days enough to reach a goal?
It is enough to finish a small goal or to prove a habit works. For a big goal it is the first week of a longer plan.
What if I miss a day?
Do the minimum version the next day. Never miss twice.
Can I do two goals at once?
You can, but one is better for a first week. Add the second once the first has a rhythm.
Is the PDF free?
Yes. Get it with your email on the Orbiont app page.
Do I need the app?
No. The table and checklist on this page are enough. The app adds reminders and tracking.
What should I do after the 7 days?
Review and pick the next goal. Repeat the week, or make the plan a little harder.
